Thinking to visit the Kalbarri Skywalk (otherwise known as Kaju Yatka)? Good choice. This is a seriously cool attraction that WA decided to put in place.
It was no easy feat too as the project cost a whooping $24 million to install – wow! Who paid for it? Well it was make possible due to the Royalty’s for Regions funding and the Department of Parks and Wildlife.
It is pretty impressive however, the skywalk sits on the cliffside’s edge of a 100m drop to provide visitors with incredible views over Kalbarri National Park. The construction consists of 2 x 100m high lookouts which sit over the edge of the 400 million year old Murchison River Gorge.
If you are wondering whether the Kalbarri Skywalk is a place you should visit – the answer is a resounding HELL YESS – if you are someone who is fond of a nice view, this skywalk will take your breath away.

Kalbarri Skywalk – Entry Fee + Conditions
While a view is pretty cool, what we particularly love about this attraction is the ability to learn more about the traditional owners of the land – the ‘Nanda’ heritage and culture through interpretive signage and artwork.
If you have kids with you who are interested in learning about fossils there are also local fossils and geolocation information on the 400 million year old sandstone.
To enter the skywalk there is a cost of $15 per vehicle (carrying up to 12 passengers) and an $8 fee for concession holders. From the carpark it is a short 2 minute paved walk to reach the gorge. Aside from this one off fee, all of the coastal sites nearby are free to visit,
The entry fee being per vehicle and not per person is reminiscent of many of American’s National Parks.
The visit is either purchased from the front gate or from the visitor information centre.
