Looking to hike Mount Ninderry Walking Trail?
Good choice. It is one of the best hikes in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast for sure. If you are looking to hike a Mountain that it not that hard this is a good choice.
After around a 30 minute hike (give or take) you are met at the top by a large plateau with two viewing platforms. The view is absolutely amazing. One side overlooks the Blackall Range and Yandina and the other overlooks Mt Coolum. A worthwhile reward once you reach the summit. There are several little lookouts along the way which are nice to stop off for a breather.

Where is Mount Ninderry Walking Trail?
This is one of the best things to do in the Sunshine Coast if you are a fit and active person.
But where is it?
The mountain itself is located between Coolum and Yandina (where things like the Ginger Factory and Nut Works are located) so you can have a little feast and walk it off after.
Travel times from some near locations are as follows:
- Brisbane: 1 hour 30 mins drive
- Caloundra: 36 mins drive
- Mooloolaba: 29 mins drive
- Noosa: 38 mins drive
Get off the Bruce Highway at Yandina and head onto Yandina Coolum Road. Go through the road about and take a right along School Road at the railway line. It is another right at the end of the road onto Ninderry Road. Follow the signs until you reach the carpark. Parking is free.
How Long does it take to climb Mt Ninderry?
It takes a person of average fitness 30 to 40 minutes to climb Mt Ninberry. It is only 319 m high and 1.4 km but it is relatively steep. I mean after-all it is a Mountain albiet not the hardest mountain to conquer on the Sunshine Coast.
There is a decent track which is not overly commercialised as this is a less popular place to hike than others in the area.
If you are scared of heights it should not be too much of an issue on this hike as the hike is mostly covered by trees so there is not many exposed areas.
From the carpark it starts off with a nice gentle hike before slowly inclining. When you reach the rocky section you know the real fun has begun as it starts to get steeper.
