Weekend getaways from Brisbane Qld
Fraser Island
It takes three days to see all that Fraser Island has to offer. There are several freshwater lakes to swim in as it is not recommended to swim along the coast. There are things to explore here as well. Such as The Maheno Shipwreck, a rainforest, or pick a day or several-day tour. Try one of the local eateries as well.
Ravensbourne
Ravensbourne is a great weekend getaway for the outdoorsy time. While camping, hike a trail through the Ravensbourne National Park. You can also go boating or fishing on Lake Cressbrook. If camping is not for you, yet you still want to enjoy the country, there are luxury houses you can rent. Ravensbourne is also known for its farming country.
Palm Cove
Want the island feel, but don’t want to leave the main land? Relax in the small resort town of Palm cove. There is a variety of shopping, spas, and restaurants looking out towards the beach. Kingaroy

Cobbold Gorge

Dalby
Just two and a half hours from Brisbane sits Dalby. Spend the weekend to see what Dalby has to offer. There is some local history to be seen and heard in here. Go to the Pioneer Park Museum, Art Gallery, or try a two-hour horse-drawn tour to learn a little local history. If golfing is your thing, the Dalby Golf Club is a must.

Burleigh
Burleigh Heads is known for one of the best beaches on the gold coast. Mount Tamborine
